About the new directors

The Philippine Star, which first reported the appointments, describes Wang as an investment manager, Pampolina as a long-time accountant, and Audencial Jr. as a trustee of the Government Service Insurance System.

Cats is best known as the founder and former chief executive of Telit Communications, now part of IoT company Telit Cinterion. Published reports, including the Philippine Star's, note that he resigned as Telit CEO in 2017 after an internal investigation into his background.

The PSE filings themselves do not include biographies of the new directors.

The financial backdrop

The board changes come as DITO works to narrow its losses. The consolidated net loss for the period, including non-controlling interests, was about P29.66 billion. Revenue rose to about P11.67 billion, from P9.67 billion in the first half of 2025.

The Philippine Star reports that DITO aims to become profitable by 2028.
