Filipino Scam Victims Lose Money Through E-Wallets Far More Than Their ASEAN Neighbors
AMRO data shows 74 percent of Filipino scam victims who lost money paid through e-wallets, more than double the 34 percent ASEAN average, while only 20 percent of ASEAN victims got any money back. The ASEAN Foundation also flags the Philippines as a new scam hotspot.
